This tiger sleeps peacefully in a wild world, free from the threat of things like habitat loss and captivity. Surrounding the tiger are eastern swallowtail butterflies, representing tigers who still live in captivity. The luna moth is a symbol of the preciousness of life and of transformation. This piece celebrates a wild tiger alive today; this piece also dreams of a world beyond this one where tigers who were captive during their earthly lives are now living free and wild forever.
20x30 inch acrylic on cotton canvas, stretched on wood frame with 1.5in depth. D-ring hangers and wrapped wire affixed to the back, ready to hang.
This painting is treated with a clear isolation coat and a UV-protective coat of matte varnish to protect the colors from humidity, yellowing, and fading.
