The painting shows three generations of narwals. Narwhals turn lighter in color as they age, with the most senior narwhals being a white or gray color.
The piece is 12×24 inch oil paint and glitter on cotton canvas, stretched on wood frame with 1.5in depth. D-ring hangers and wrapped wire affixed to the back, ready to hang.
The painting is treated with a non toxic varnish to protect the colors from humidity, yellowing, and fading. There is a double coat of varnish to ensure the glitter is fixed to the surface.
